MOYLEY WINS "COACH OF THE YEAR"

11 Sep 2014 by North Ringwood FC Committee

Hi Sainters

Last night was hopefully the start of great things to come for our club when Brett Moyle won the “Senior Coach of the Year” Award at the Eastern Region Coach Presentation Night at the York on Lilydale.

This is a big night as an award night goes taking in all leagues in the Eastern Region not just the EFL and to win this is just a fantastic result and something that is very well deserved by a young man that has given so much to our club since taking over the reins in 2010.

As mentioned in an earlier article, this night is based on mainly what a Coach has done this year but to understand fully what Brett has achieved over the last 5 years is when you fully appreciate how much he has done for not only our players but also our club.

Brett has always been activity involved with our Junior Program, developing our younger players from the colts, building a successful culture and basically just getting everyone involved from Juniors through to parents, members and sponsors to make everyone feel part of the Journey that has been the last 5 year.

Below are results from the last 5 years since Brett has been at the club and as you can see it is an amazing effort.

2009: Finished middle of the road in Division 3

Brett’s First Year:

2010: Finished 2nd after the Home & Away Season, wins: 14 / Loss: 4, unfortunately went out in straight sets in the finals, but what a year it was.

2011: Finish top after the Home & Away. Wins: 17 / Loss: 0 / Draw: 1. Made it through to the Grand Final but Defeated by Doncaster.

2012: Finished top after Home & Away. Wins: 16 / Loss: 2. Made it through to the Grand Final beating Glen Waverley Hawks, 25.25.175 to 5.8.38 to what stands as the greatest winning margin in the history of Grand Finals in the EFL.
Brett was also named as the Coach in the SEN Team of the Year.

2013: First year in Division 2. Finished 3rd after the Home & Away. Wins: 14 / Loss: 4. Lost to Croydon in an Elimination Final. Great effort first year up.

2014: Finished top after the Home & Away. Wins: 16 / Loss: 2. Into Grand Final this Saturday to hopefully get back to Division 1.

As you can see in 5 years Brett has the opportunity to take a club from the middle of the road in Divi 3 to Divi 1.

Brett on behalf of everyone at the club, THANK YOU, and bring it home on Saturday mate

GO SAINTS!
